The Van Pur Company was founded in 1989. Three years later, in 1992, we launched one of Poland's first canning lines in Rakszawa near Rzeszów. For the first year the company focused only on canning beer. A year later, in 1993, Van Pur launched its own brew house.
Van Pur Premium was Van Pur’s first beer brand. To this day it isa leading brand brewed in Brewery in Rakszawa. Van Pur expanded the its offer and, by launching the beer with 18% extract content, it became the pioneer on the strong beer domestic market.
In the year 2000 the company went through the ownership transfer process – Van Pur was taken over by the Austrian corporation Brau Union. Three years later, in 2003, the company was reacquired by its original owners, and again Van Pur became an independent Polish brewery.
The return to the previous business model started the next period of the company’s rapid growth. In response to the needs of the domestic and export markets Van Pur began to increase its production capacity. In 2005 Browar Górnośląski in Zabrze was incorporated into the structures of the company, and four years later the same was done with the Brok brewery in Koszalin.
In 2011, the company signed an agreement with Royal Unibrew, on the basis of which Van Pur became the owner of Browary Regionalne Łomża. Thus, Van Pur began to brew beer in the next two brewing plants in Łomża and Jędrzejów.
After more than two decades of developing the competency on the beer market, in 2013 Van Pur launched a new branch of products. The company’s portfolio expanded to include two categories of non-alcoholic malt-based beverages: home brew and kvass.
The year 2013 is also a period of investment in new technology areas. Van Pur, as the first brewing company in Poland, began to produce its own packaging for beer and soft-drinks. A production line for PET bottles with plasmax coating was installed at the site of the Brewery in Rakszawa. Plasmax coating technology creates optimal barriers for gas in PET bottles – prevents the beer from oxygen infiltration and CO2 loss. Therefore, the beer and beverages have longer best-before dates and retain their taste and aroma for a longer period. PET bottles coated with plasmax are completely transparent and 100% recyclable.
